Global Plas Inc. (GPI) is a custom injection moulder and assembler serving major Japanese Tier 1 automotive customers from Ontario, Canada. It ships various parts directly to Toyota plants within the United States and Canada on behalf of its Tier 1 customers. It is highly driven and keeps its cost competitive by offering customers innovative design, tool fabrication, timely responsiveness, assembly, lean manufacturing and the highest level of quality. GPI’s machine range is 65 – 2700 Ton, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 certified, currently operating in 2 manufacturing locations in Concord, Ontario. It has extensive automated processes linked to 1600-, 1800- and 2000-ton injection moulding machines. GPI was awarded Achievement Award from Toyota in 2021. GPI is a Tier 2 supplier; however, the company ships various parts to Toyota on behalf of its Japanese-Tier customers.
Product Information
GPI’s product mix consists of various under-the-hood parts (such as HVAC moulded and assembled parts, seal cool air), exterior parts (such as rocker panels, body side moulding with extensive assemblies, spoilers) and interior parts (such as glove box, sunroof stiffeners, console stiffeners). It supplies these parts locally in Canada to Japanese-Tier customers and ships parts to Toyota Kentucky. In addition to automotive parts, GPI moulds and assembles fairing brackets for the trucking industry.
Objectives
GPI’s objective is to get acquainted with other Japanese Tier 1 customers. It wishes to increase sales by bringing in new customers and is hopeful that this trade held in Japan could be a stepping-stone to identifying and connecting with such customers.
