Able Innovations is solving the repetitive and labour-intensive task of patient transfers by developing robotic medical devices that allow a single health care worker to perform lateral supine patient transfers in an effortless, safe and dignified manner. The company’s first automated solution, the ALTA Platform™, enables staff to do more with less while protecting them from chronic and career-ending injuries. The patient transfer equipment in use today is too reliant on the increasingly scarce availability of front-line staff time, which is not sustainable.
