Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a non-profit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies.
CDL Space is an international program based out of four CDL locations CDL-Atlanta, CDL-Oxford, CDL-Paris and CDL-Toronto for pre-Seed to pre-Series A technology startups and designed to support both space and Earth-based technology.
The program brings together astronauts, entrepreneurs, investors, and scientists from fields related to space exploration and transportation, satellite communications, Earth observation, automation, and robotics. CDL startups work with these mentors to sharpen objectives, prioritize time and resources, raise capital, build networks and engage with experts working on the frontiers of research.
Speakers
Fergus Klein is the Senior Venture Manager and Lead for the Space Stream at Creative Destruction Lab. Fergus initially worked in the manufacturing industry as an industrial engineer and operations manager for 3 years before joining a boutique advisory firm and family office as a technology consultant. After immigrating to Canada in early 2020, Fergus co-founded a deep technology start-up focusing in-orbit power delivery for satellites, having led the operations, funding and commercialization strategy. He now supports early-stage space ventures both within and outside of the Creative Destruction Lab process, primarily focused on helping companies find product market fit.
