Betterfrost developed the most energy efficient defrost and defog system for EVs that reduces cabin energy heating by 22% during continuous operation (-5C at 100 kph). Betterfrost’s system pulses power to keep heat at the surface so it is not wasted into the environment. It is applied to the windshield, panoramic roof, outside heat exchanger and battery packs. Betterfrost’s system uses existing power electronics so only their algorithm and wires are added in an EV. Demonstration EV available for testing.
