Profile

At Specific Biologics, its mission is to develop therapeutics to treat or cure disease through precision gene editing. Its gene editor Dualase is designed to overcome unpredictable or inefficient repair that limits many therapeutic applications of gene editors. Dualase's two-site mechanism creates precision deletions to disrupt genes or increases repair to correct genes in cells. It has developed a pipeline of differentiated Dualase-based therapies across multiple therapeutic areas, including lung, ocular, CNS and liver disorders.
