Profile
Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is home to Canada’s Centre for Aviation Technology at Hamilton International Airport. The purpose-built, 80,000-square-foot facility opened in 2021 to serve southern Ontario’s education, applied research and industrial partnerships needs. The campus is currently home to 350 students, faculty and researchers.
In partnership with McMaster University, Mohawk College is offering free micro-credential courses in support of Canada’s Federal Economic Development Agency’s Aviation Resilient Recovery Initiative. These courses include one-day micro-credentials in supply chain, cyber security, IOT, sustainability and a unique 40-hour onboarding program for new hires that covers good manufacturing practices, safety, quality, fabrication and assembly.
