Virica pioneers a new media additive category of Viral Sensitizers (VSE™) that removes the barriers to manufacturing effective viral medicines at scale by reducing the anti-viral responses manufacturing host cells have to viruses. VSE™s are small molecules with various chemistries, which are added into the upstream process around the time of infection/transfection/transduction and transiently down-regulate anti-viral responses in cells. VSE™ has demonstrated robust improvement in viral yields and has been shown to improve transduction efficiency.
