Shimco manufactures high-precision details and laminated parts primarily for the aerospace and defense industries. Shimco is AS9100D and CCGP certified, and Nadcap accredited. Shimco partners with a majority of the world’s aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

We work with hard and soft metals (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, metal alloys). We have many 3 and 4-axis milling machines and high-precision turning machines, making parts with an accuracy of up +-0.0001” (+-0.00254 mm).

Shimco also has a full-service metal surface treatment facility (Nadcap accredited): anodizing, passivation, chemical conversion coating, priming/painting, rapid cure. Full onsite lab, including salt spray.

Shimco is the only Canadian company to also provide the following:

  • Peelable metal sheets and machined peelable components
  • Layer thicknesses of 0.001”, 0.002” and 0.003”, up to 40 layers thick
  • Laminated materials:
  • All metals (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, brass)
  • Polyimide
  • Fiberglass

Technology commercialization:

“IntelliShim” for use in DPHM and remote event monitoring. Self-powering sensors that can be used in many applications for measuring strain, vibration, out-of-spec events; data is transmitted wirelessly to a collection node; no wires in and no wires out; no batteries required.

Shimco is fully vertically integrated, with the capability of manufacturing our own laminated metals and plastics, full service CNC machining and turning and on-site metal surface protection coatings (Nadcap accredited for chemical processes). Shimco can provide aerospace grade parts, laminated or solids that are fully painted, in as fast as 24 hours.
